So happy to have reached Week 6! woo hoo.. I was wary this morning setting out for Week 6 as I'd read on here how it's back to intervals and to watch it after the 20min continuous run of Week 5 Run 3. Well, I kept it steady and didn't go mad but upped the pace a little and it felt fine. This morning, I was running along the seafront on the Sussex coast at 7am, what a beaut of a morning and lovely to have a change of scene.
The intervals were ok but I must admit, I didn't really want to stop, could easily have gone on but that's the plan so I behaved. Sure there is method in the madness! After the middle 8min run I did think, ugh..can I do another 5mins after a 3min walk break.. I did! And job done. Roll on Weds for Run 2, another different run so Jo told me..
Hope all fellow Week 6-ers are doing ok!

Well done you! I put mine off today as my legs still felt wrong after last week and I'd had a few beers on Sunday 🤣 so il be out in the morning to catch up, didn't realise it was back to intervals though or I may have gone.
Oddly enough, a lot of people seem to struggle going back to intervals after the non stop session that is W5R3. It’s as though the interval breaks your flow and you struggle to get going again in the second half.
It wasn’t a problem for me but there’s a lot of chat about it on here. Just wanted to give you a heads up 🙂
Nailed it! 🙌🏼 It’s so nice to have a view when you’re running and yours sounds lush 😃 I think we all have those occasional moments where we could easily carry on. I - very haphazardly - overran yesterday and STILL wanted to carry on once my session was over..! 😳 It’s all about avoiding injury though, so like everyone says, stick to the programme ✅ Good luck with R2 - your last interval run! 🙌🏼
Well done on your run 💪🏼 It is a buzz isn’t it?! I love the plan element of it too. Having gone out too hard and fast in the past after injury and setting myself back again, this feels like it’s working and I feel like I’m achieving so much more. Go us!
