Week 6 Run 1 πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ˜Š

I was late out this morning - 7:14! Certainly noticed the increased traffic. And it was chilly! Warmed up once I started running.

This run catches a lot of people out. Maybe because it’s back to intervals after the euphoria of a 20 minute run in Week 5 Run 3.

So I tried the same mind trick that I did when I ran it in 2020. I told myself that I was training now for something else and the previous run did not exist. It worked and I had no problem.

I kept everything slow and steady, as you should, but did allow myself to settle into a slightly faster pace at the end.

I could feel myself getting fitter with this run and Garmin agreed with me! I now have a fitness age of 45 πŸ˜‚

I did notice, however, that my recovery walks were progressively slower! 😊

Looking forward to Run 2! πŸ˜ŠπŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

Excellent run Jools, you've definitely got this. Love the photo too with the trademark sun visor πŸ˜€

Thanks. I’m really enjoying these runs! I need the structure right now.

Never run without my sun visor! 😊

That run left me a gasping mess, I like the way you are tackling the plan πŸ˜ƒ,

I was out of breath for sure, but that was only because I chose to speed up at the end!

Good though that you have that option 😁

I didn't like this run either. (Or the next one. 😳) Yesterday's 25 minutes was much better.

I love you training tactic; that's a really good idea!

You’ve done all the interval runs now! I guessed you’d be happier with the straight runs - but that training tactic for the interval runs worked really well!
