Got up and the sun was shining through some holes in the clouds so I just threw on shorts and shirt-sleeved top and went for it. What I didn’t factor in was that, despite it being relatively sunny it was, according to my weather station, 2C and the average wind speed was 25mph. No wonder my arms were like ice-pops when I got back and the run itself was harder than expected, although, for the first time, I was able to speed up in the last minute. One other little hurdle was weaving round landrovers with trailers full of sheep - I’d forgotten that there was an auction mart on in the village today. I just love living and running here.
