This was a strange run to finish week 7! It started okay but then Ollie found a huge pile of something smelly 6mins in and I seriously couldn’t bring myself to turn around and go home to wash him so I put his lead on and pounded on.
Being slightly perturbed 😤 by this development I was racing along and was well ahead of where I needed to be to finish off the full run at my front door so I had to try and run the downhill section slowly hahahahaha. I must have looked totally daft - speeding up and slowing down trying to judge how far I was from home!!!
But Ollie and I survived and after an extra wee stroll round the houses to cool down we are now home and ollie’s clean and sound asleep! Week 7 done 🥳🥳🥳

Thank you!!!! I’m chuffed to bits that I’ve managed to stick with this programme - and while I struggle lots on the way round, I love that I can do this!!! Keep going Cazza and we will all be running 5k in no time. You are going great guns too!!
Yay well done VP!
My dogs do that to me all the time so I've had to refrain from taking them on any more runs with me.
I am seriously thinking of sacking him as my training partner hahahahaha. 🐶🐾🐾
But he’s my best reason for going out for a walk every morning and running every couple of days. I actually think I would miss him if he wasn’t trotting along beside me hahahaha.
Yay!!! Had every faith in you x made me giggle too but this slogging lark has made us into more determined versions of ourselves than any of us could have ever have imagined xx soo soo well done 👍
That is so true!!!! And I find I’m more determined in every part of life now since I started this. I’m still stunned that I’m doing this at all never mind heading into week 8! We are all doing amazingly well!!!
Yes dogs love rolling in😂🤣, apart from that you had a very good run, congratulations on completing run 3 of week 7, onwards and upwards to week 8,3/28 minute runs, hopefully without any dog problems.
I take my neighbours dog a walk most days a week, I make sure she doesn't roll on anything, however, when my neighbour takes the dog a walk, he let's her off the leash she immediately rolls in mud or something worse.
It’s like he waits until I have bathed him and he’s smelling lovely - and he immediately finds something to roll in hahahahahaha. I’d be lost (and stones heavier) without him 💕🐶🐾🐾. Great incentive every day. Enjoy your walk tomorrow x
I went a short 3K RUN this morning at about 8 o'clock, two hours later I went a WALK with my Thursday morning walking group, altogether from home back home including the walk with the group came to 8 Kilometres altogether, in the afternoon another shorter walk with the dog, tomorrow its a 6K walk in the morning myself and a shorter walk in the afternoon with the dog.
On Saturday morning a 5K run, so I am getting plenty of exercise.
And here’s me all pleased for hitting my 10000 steps for today hahahahaha. You are amazing!
I love the idea of the 3k run in the morning - I walk that each morning with Ollie but a wee jog once this programme is done might be a new thing for me each day.
There’s a popular programme called Stepping Stones that I think is designed for graduates, or at least for runners wanting some direction. When the time comes we can check in with the team to see what podcasts everyone rates 👌🏼 We won’t let you flounder! 😁
Perfect. The saw all the posts about consolidation runs but wasn’t sure if there was actually a programme. Our wee team will keep each other going lol.
I think it would feel very weird running be without Ollie! He’s very bouncy and jumpy cockapoo. I love his company on my runs although I hate the occasional whoops- Hahahahaha.
We are flying through this programme. Good luck with your next run 🏃🏽♀️
