Move on or re do week 8 run 2 ?

Looking for some advice. Done run 2 of week 8 last night. I was absolutely fine and on course for finishing when with 4 minutes left to go my running partner has taken a fall and went over on his ankle. I stopped to help him and we just walked very slowly home.

His ankle is pretty swollen today so not sure how long he will be off it for.

But as for me, that means I had to finish just under 4 minutes early and the run hasn't been completed. I know I would have managed it and dont really wanna lose my routine to finishing the program next week by needing to add an extra run. But not sure if that's cheating by just moving on.

What would you suggest ?

You're good.

Move on :-)

PS Hope he recovers quickly.

Move on - they’re the same anyway so just add in an extra run if you struggle maybe?

I would have to do it again.. but that's just me..every run..all of it..it would, otherwise niggle me 😉

See I thought this too but then I think it would annoy me more being out of my routine that I'm used to and also putting back my finishing day 🤣 I'll see how my next run goes and decide lol

Your choice..we have had many posts like this..folk make their own decisions..the whole plan...or not:)

If your confident you would have finished it then just carry on to the next run as if you did.

I would also suggest you put the sole blame on your running partner and remind him/her of this roughly every km once they are back on their feet

Oh I will be don't worry 🤣 he's been told multiple times how he has caused me to not finish my very first run of the whole programme so far 🤣 guilt trip the guy who currently can't put weight on his ankle hahah
