Exhilarated, wow I can run for 20mins. Five weeks ago I could only manage the pump class at the gym. Pre Covid.

I am pumped at present. My weight is still an issue. But for the first time in decades I was able to lift my foot to my bum and hold for calf stretch OMG how good is that!

I managed 2.7kms I run very slow and really work on the breathing I know I have a nose issue (almost broken as a child) and can’t breath through one side well it was great today.

Paced all the way and the last two minutes extended my stride my recovery time is much better. I really thank this great program.

I do have a question I have

Loads more energy what do you do on your off day? I have a large garden and there’s loads to do. Yesterday I did half the lawn with a hand scarifier and laid down lawn dirt and seed. Is that classed as resting or is it OK to do what you normally do.

Ok I will shut up now so pumped🤣🤪

Well done.

Stay nice and steady for the next run........it catches many out.

On your rest days any non impact exercise will be beneficial to your development as a runner.

Rest days are from impact, to enable repair and strengthening.

Congratulations on completing week 5 run 3, that's a milestone run 👍

You will probably (rightly so) be smiling all day now ,

Be careful of with week 6 runs 1 and 2 as going back to intervals catches people out !

And yes , you can still do things on your rest day, infact rest day is a bad name really, should be non Running day , just make sure what you do is non or low impact 👍
