So, this is take 2 of my long, rambling post about the final run of Week 6, rather than take 2 of Week 6 - don't know what happened to my post, it vanished. Maybe I was in too much of a doodah after the run. Perhaps it will reappear. Anyway, I'm not going to write it all again, but the gist of it was, that final run of Week 6 was the worst and the best run I've ever done. Don't know why, but I felt bloody terrible throughout almost all of it, pure torture, and then the last five minutes, I've never felt better. Legs felt great, breathing happy as larry, not out of puff for the first time ever, and that was at the end of 25 mins, longest I've ever run. Don't get it really, but just thought I'd share!
Week 6 Take 2: So, this is take 2 of my long... - Couch to 5K
Week 6 Take 2
That just seems to happen sometimes! Well done - as Laura said, you are now a proper runner !
Yay! Congratulations. Nailing week 6 is like graduating. The hard work is almost over. Batting down hill from here on in. Take very great care now, no running too fast, keep things steady, take those rest days and you will finish your Graduation run with aplomb.
Woohoo!!!! Go Glud!
Feels good, but I hope that 4/5ths of every run from now on won't feel as dreadful as that!
Well done. What encouraging words from the other 2 - 'proper runner now' nah, nah, ne, nah, nah! Thanks for the informative post ...... tomorrow here I come. (please don't let me fail legs / knees / cold / exhaustion).
Hope it goes well, Buffy. You can do it! It was really flipping windy when I did that run today, so maybe that was against me. Bitterly cold too, and I think I had a bit of a bad attitude on. Felt pretty incredible afterwards though. You will too!
thats running for you great isnt it , well done on the run
Thanks, Not_So_Slow_Rob
Hi. I am one week behind you (just completed the fab W5R3 today). It's really great to read your experiences - it's helping the ones who are following you. BTW, when you've finished the plan, Parkrun is great. I've done my local one for a while (not running for 5k obviously. Just walking with a bit of jogging in between up until now). I come last out of 200 people every week, but everyone is so friendly, it's a real community. Thanks again.
Hi Topo, well done on finishing week 5 That's a great moment! I can't wait to do a park run. There's one at the bottom of my road so I have no excuse and I'm def going to try that soon. Good luck on week 6!
