Roll on Mother's Day!

Well I've finally been for a gait analysis. I was quite impressed looking at the angles of your feet and legs whilst running and how they affect you. My feet strike the ground in a completely different way than I thought, so I was really surprised as to how wrong I was! I didn't buy the shoes as I have spent up at the moment, but one of my sons said he was going to plan with dad to surprise me on Mother's Day. What a wonderful idea and how thoughtful of him. The shoes that were best for me are Asics gel zone 4, anyway I was wondering if any of you great people out there use these shoes and what you thought about them?

I hope you get on well with your new shoes when you eventually get them. I note that they are a stability shoe for someone with quite severe overpronation (significant rolling-in of the foot) so they should offer you much more support than your current ones.

Lots of peeps where Asics of various models. They are expensive but good. If, for any reason, you don't get on with them you can return them

Wonderful Mother's Day gift!

Hi Misswobble thanks for your reply. As soon as I laced up they felt really comfortable and I had no idea you could return them, so I have nothing to lose:)

If it was Sweatshop you went to you can return your trainers BUT it isn't a money back return, just FYI

Thanks for that info. It was DW Sports, so I'd better check first.

It might be different in other shops, worth checking out. I went for Nike Zoom Structure after my gait analysis. I tried some Asics ( I think!!) and they didn't suit me. Getting the right trainers is amazing. I knocked 30 seconds off my pace per k first time I used the new ones!!!

I was told that I ought to try a pair of Nike, can't remember which ones though as they were out of my price range, but I think I may try afterterall now, just for comparison.
