Woke up at 5am - Looked at weather forecast in the hope it looked better than when I looked last night - silly me 🙄

Decided I’d go anyway 💪 - went back to sleep for an hour got up and got myself ready and set off at 6.20am.

3 mins into warm up walk and the heavens opened but I was determined to carry on - well I’m wet now anyway and it’s a good chance to try out my new waterproof jacket 👍 Heavy rain eased at start of run and became a refreshing drizzle 😉

I come to a point on my loop round the neighbourhood where I can divert which means I do about 3.5k or head on further away from home ... decisions, decisions ... I really did want to try 5k again ... yep I didn’t turn off - whoo hoo what a good girl 5k here I come.

Feeling OK ish - breathing alright but just can’t make my little legs go any quicker.

Kept going and tried to speed up for last .5k and yes I did it !

Knocked a whole 17 secs off my PB 🤣 43.32 so still very slow but so happy I can do it in reasonable comfort.

I hope one day to go below 40 mins but meanwhile I will continue to enjoy my 3 runs a week.

Sorry - turned into a longer post than I expected but I’m still so surprised with myself for doing this 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

Have a good weekend everyone ❤️

Impressed with heading out in the Rain 🌧. That is real dedication to running.

Enjoy your weekend.

Well - just had to test the jacket 😉 I can report it kept the bits it covered dry - not quite sure why I spent a fortune having my hair done yesterday though 🙄

Well done, always good to get a PB. Running in the rain too, you’re a star ⭐️

Thank you - I still wish I could go just a little faster but I’ll keep consolidating and maybe it will happen when I least expect it ?

Thank MMD - when it’s that slow it sounds funny saying PB but nevertheless it was and I’m telling myself it could be a wee bit better if it isn’t lashing down 💦

2 x 30 mins and another 5k planned for next week ... onwards and errrm ... onwards I guess 🙂
