Even though you're not happy with the way you did it, you ran a pretty fast 5k. Hope you enjoyed it, even if you feel you need to work on your pace. Pacing is tricky!
I just use my breathing and perceived effort to judge my HR zone as none of the calculations seem accurate to me, my exhaustion HR is significantly higher than any of the calculated figures .
I completely understand your disappointment about setting off too fast - I did the same thing on Thursday for my 4 K run! I think that it will be easier to judge with a bit more experience. Weβll get there!
For now, celebrate that you did have a PB today and you are getting closer to a sub 30 minute 5K! Well done ππππ
