Well I did it, my 1st 5K...the planet's aligned and I woke up feeling pretty good and it was a cooler 16 degrees so I chose my flatest route and off I went thinking i'll aim for 33 minutes again today and see how I go. The run went really well and the sun kindly stayed away for the 1st 28 mins so I detoured a little and Mapmyrun told me I'd reached 5K at 36minutes just before I got to my front door. And all the sweeter coz my last run was horrid...this one was amazing πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ˜†πŸ‘...now for a bath πŸ˜‚

Brilliant! I'm at week 6 and doing Parkrun (jogging/walking) - best time is 42 mins. I dream of 30 something! Well done.

Thanks 😊. 42 minutes sounds really good at week 6 and considering you're walking some, I have no doubt you'll be in the 30's when you're running it all πŸ‘

Fingers crossed - hearing other people's experiences like yours, is inspiring.

Thanks, that makes me smile as it's how I feel about a lot of the posts from longer graduates on here. Which also means in a few weeks it'll be you saying 'I've only gone and done it!' and inspiring the next generation of C25Kers...great programme 😊

Well done. That's a fantastic achievement. Even better when it followed a run that went badly.

Thanks and yeah, that was the icing on the cake! 😁 Not that I let a bad run get me down, but they certainly make you appreciate the good ones πŸ‘
