Week 9 Run 3 complete

I thought I'd feel elated but actually feel a little sad. This journey has really given me something different to focus on and I've (tentatively) enjoyed some of it. I'm yet to make it to 5K - 3.82km according to my watch. I was slightly disappointed as the distance didn't change from my previous two runs despite my having finished closer to home. I think my watch is stuck :) Then I have to read that last bit back and remind myself that I'm 58, slightly arthritic, haven't run in years, and only 10 weeks ago struggled to run for a minute! I haven't posted much but read a lot. So thanks to everyone for keeping me motivated - even though you didn't even know you did :)

Congratulations on your graduation.. fantastic achievement. πŸ₯³πŸ₯³πŸ₯³πŸ₯³πŸ₯³

You can feel a little bereft at the end of the programme..

But there is still much to aim for, and support out there.

There's the C25K stepping stones..speed.stamina programme. With Laura to guide you through. Terrible music though 🀣

And the bridge to 10 k programme.

But consolidation runs 1st.

I used week 9 run 3 ..for a few consolidation runs.as I missed the structure.

Enjoy your graduation day....how far you have come πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ†πŸŽ–

Congratulations Slothdriver - a fantastic achievement and, as you say, it’s not so long ago that you struggled to run for 60 seconds and now you can do it for 30 minutes non-stop! Don’t be disheartened at not getting to 5k - in fact most of us don’t. But C25K is a catchier title than Couch to 30 minutes isn’t it?! You can now do your consolidation runs for a few weeks which may get you to 5k but if not, you’ll be in a much better position to extend your running time to get to 5k. Huge congratulations again - happy running! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ†
