So I had two days rest in the middle of the week because I was away on a short break. I only had today and tomorrow to complete week 7 so I decided to run this morning but woke up too late (I love a lie in!) and by 10am it was already 28 degrees C!
Undeterred by the heat I set off and decided I would conquer the hill that had defeated me in week 4... I know stupid or what? I did complete the run at a faster pace than usual and made it back home in one piece, just!
I felt very faint walking back home and it took me ages to recover! Moral of the story: Don’t run in the heat you’ll do yourself a mischief!

Yes the pic is after the run! I had to lie down on the cold kitchen floor for 10 minutes before I started to feel better! I left a nice sweaty patch there that now needs mopping! 🤣
Lesson learned. I related the tale here last week of me doing a 9 mile very hilly circular walk the wrong way round, starting/ending at the highest point and not bringing anywhere near enough fluids with me, on the hottest day of 2013.
