I gave up running 2 years ago after going through some personal challenges (including a break up with a chap who was obsessed with running, (and eventually 'ran away' with a woman from his running group). I had only took up running at 50 in 2020 (c25k) just before COVID struck. I was thinking about re-doing c25k again but I'm a bit scared - of what I don't know. I've recently turned 55 so no spring chicken, and I was always a bit of a plodder so gawd knows what I'll be like now! Any words of support appreciated.

Hey......you'll surprise yourself, your legs remember what to do, it's your head you have to convince 😀

Fabulous to see you back! Never too late to reconnect with your running. You have completed it before, but just in case you don’t remember, here is the link to the C25k FAQ written by our dear, late IannodaTruffe : healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
It will be easier in some ways, harder in others. But I found that every time I had to repeat C25k, it was a new, exciting journey where I learned more about myself and my body, and every time I got stronger than the last time.
So have a wonderful running journey and let us know how it goes! You got this!
Thank you so much CBDB. I was a follower back then of the absolute legend that is Iannodaatruffe - what a writer. He had an amazing way with words. Totally inspirational and what a legacy of he leaves behind.
He does indeed. I celebrate the anniversary of his passing with a run every year. When I started on this running journey, some of the most significant advice that kept me going came from him. Absolute legend, indeed. 🥲
His legacy lives on through his posts, as you say.
Keep smiling, keep running!

Welcome back... hope your ex-chap does not run, into trouble!!!
Slow and steady and on you go.. here you are, and here we still are to support you!

Mr JCR says it is always in the head and not the legs and if you’ve done it before you can do it again.
Plodding is good, plodding keeps you safe from injury and plodding keeps you in good company on here.
