Good morning
Looking for advice on walking....
I was diagnosed with CLL November 2019 from a routine blood test. It progressed much quicker than I had expected and by May 2020 as a result of FISH test and 94% 11q deletion, FCR was recommended. However two weeks later I went for routine eye test sent for MRI and CLL was discovered and has been confirmed in a vain in my brain and it’s now in my lumbar fluid. I was in hospital June 11th to July 1st. Medics say it’s very rear and I take ibrutinib orally plus the R from FCR in IV form and the triple chemo dose in the lumber region. The prognosis I have is quite stark and it’s not more than a year! I’m aged 64
Today is the first day I feel okay but am still dizzy and walk slowly. Before all this happened I was a medium hill walker and a very regular local walker. Do you think walking will ever be possible for me again?
I’m putting on weight from medication and would like to control it in some way.
I didn’t ask my consultant about this as I was trying to control the headaches up to now.
Any advice welcome
