What a good idea

My local running club is exactly the same! I think there’s more of a demand for this sort of club post Covid, with people running for the joy of it. Nothing wrong with more speedy focussed ones-it’s just about finding one that suits!

it’s a yes from me! You know what, I had one of the most enjoyable runs ever this last weekend, met up with a mate at a local parkrun - I hadn’t run for about a month so wasn’t sure if I’d manage the whole thing without a walk break (not that it matters) ….but we just ran at a slow pace and chatted……all the way round!

I can’t tell you how good that felt….👍

There's a "Slow AF UK" group on Facebook, and an American one too, they've even got there own T shirt. I've made a "Slow AF" group on Strava - everyone welcome!

If you don't know you probably won't like the answer, bowdlerized here. As F**k.

Thanks, 😂 yes, I saw one FB page with that explanation, seems to have backyard ultra runners, another I found is ‘slow and fat’….…...

whatever the tag, I’d would rather meet a group in person rather than virtually…..

So, I think that Glasgow slowies group is brilliant!

👍 I'm exactly the opposite, running with others is definitely not my thing. Not keen on virtual groups either, come to that. Maybe if I'd taken up running where I used to live in the UK it'd have been different.
