Do I count the walks?

Made it to week 8 run 2, amazed I’ve got this far, this is truly a great programme! I’m recording my runs on Strava, but am unsure if I should be recording the warm up and warm down walks or just the 28 minute run? Any advice would be appreciated!

On the later longer runs of C25K most people record only the runs, congratulations on getting to week 8 run 2, not long now until you graduate. 😊

It depends whether you want to see how much distance you cover in your full workout or whether you want to just measure your running distance.

There is no need to measure your distance at all to complete C25k and the graduation requirements are 3 x 30 minute runs.

I still count both walks, only way I can make it to 5k!

Hi, once I started the “run” only weeks I started STRAVA once I started to run and then stop STRAVA at the run end. Didn’t include the warm up and warm down walks. Happy running 👍

All that matters is you’ll be running 30 minutes next week... so it’s your call.

Now that I’ve graduated I start Strava at the beginning of the run and stop it before the cool down walk. I didn’t worry about it while I was still in the programme as I was focusing on the 30 minutes rather than the distance.

I do a lot of run/walking these days, so seems to make sense to include the warm up/cool down bits. It's totally up to you though, your run, your records Xx
