What do you wear?

I’m struggling with what is the best clothing to wear whilst running. I wear my yoga leggings which are comfortable but I’m struggling with tops. Some mornings it’s very cool now and I want something extra to my tee shirt, but after my warm up walk I’m starting to peel off and then where do I put the jacket? Are gilets a good option?

I was like this too. I now just go out in a vest, because I know I'll warm up pretty damn quickly!🥵

This is also something I’ve been pondering,

Since I started the program I’ve used walking trousers with the legs zipped off and any old tee-shirt.

Guessing I may have to shell out on something reasonable before autumn arrives.

I normally wear a running vest and have something back in the car to put on when I've finished if it's chilly. I've also got running tee shirts if it's colder but it's worth investing in modern lightweight high wicking tops rather than cotton tops which get clammy and adsorb sweat. Places like Sports Direct and Decathlon sell them at a modest cost.

All outdoor shops sell a wide range of wicking tee shirts in vest style, short or long sleeves, and it's best to have a choice depending on the weather, rather than wear 2 layers which will make you overheat.

You don't specifically need a running top, I wear my summer walking tee shirts which are designed to keep you cool (technical man made fibres, not cotton).

Don't worry if you feel cool when you leave the house, you will soon warm up!

I only ware shorts (technically, they are swimming shorts) and a T-Shirt and I still get too hot! - I tend not to suffer from the cold generally, so the warm up walk at 06:15 has not been a problem, but I may change my mind come winter 🙂 - It did rain once, but it was actually quite pleasant as it was not particularly heavy.

I am thinking about taking a small rucksack type thing for later in autumn so I can pop a cagoule or layers in it. Especially if I start going longer distances.

yes, you can cool down very quickly on the walk back, especially if there is a stiff breeze! I have an extremely lightweight waterproof that rolls up very small. I got it in TKmax years ago and I think it might be a running one.
