What to wear

Hi all I’m looking to get a jacket to wear running. Any tips and also need somewhere to put my phone ? Thanks

I wear a running belt to put my phone and keys in . I have 2 one that does up with a zip and one a bit like a bum bag . They are great and don’t move while running. I don’t wear a jacket but a long sleeved running top bought from TK maxx in there sports section good for the cold weather!

I use an elasticated running belt for my phone (mine is 'nathan', make sure it will stretch enough to fit your phone). I have recently got wireless headphones which are great....(wired ones are ok too but a bit more fiddly.)

My running jacket is a Ronhill mens one. Its pretty windproof has nice long sleeves and covers my rear nicely...

Have a look at a running buff too. You can wear it round your neck, its seamless, breathable wicking fabric that helps keep the wind out while you are warming up...

All things you can treat yourself with as you progress through the plan...

My running jacket was sold as a cycling jacket- excellent rear coverage & long sleeves so I rarely need gloves- tho it probably looks a bit silly running with my hands up my sleeves! It is light & breathable. 😄

I bought a fab cross body pouch from Decathlon that holds my phone, keys etc. It’s perfect 👌 Def recommend. And they do some nice colours too

I wear a North Face lightweight jacket which has pockets for phone, keys, hankie. And a hood for actual rain, it’s also bright orange so they see me coming!🍊

I go for a windproof jacket rather than a waterproof one. I do this for two reasons, 1)Proper waterproof running jackets cost a fortune 2) cheaper waterproof jackets for exercise make you sweat inside the jacket as they don’t breathe too well. So I go for a lightweight windproof jacket and they seem to be fine. I wear a belt for my phone and keep my keys and a tissue in it. I got mine from amazon for around £6.99.

Ok good advice on the waterproof issue. I guess you’re gonna get wet in the rain anyway!

Hi CatMo13 ...I have a nice luminous pink wind proof jacket that I absolutely love...it’s from sports direct & it’s a Karrimore 😉...I wear a case around my arm for my phone but could also put my phone Ervin my pocket as it has zips...I also have running pants with zips in the waistband at the back

Thanks for that. I treated myself in Tkmax to a north face gilet it has a hood and zipped pockets. Excited for my W3r3 tomorrow now 😁
