W6R2. Does it count?

I should have done this W6R2run on Tuesday.... but I had a bit of a hangover (got to live down to the name) so didn’t run Tuesday.

Then someone turned the heat right up Wednesday and Thursday and I figured a novice 62 year old runner should be a bit careful in this heat. So didn’t go running.

But this evening the clouds rolled in, the heat dropped and I went out running. And it rained. Hurrah. Beautiful cooling run 🐌.

I was worried that after a four day break it would be really hard to do the run. But it wasn’t too bad at all. So question is can I consider this run done and go on the the last run of week 6 on Sunday even though I’ve had such a long break between runs?

Yes you can! If you take more time between runs it really doesn’t matter in my opinion, well unless it is weeks!

Well done.

As explained in the guide to the plan, C25k weeks don't have to coincide with calendar weeks.

Yes! It was very sensible not running in the heat and 4 days doesn’t count as a long break. Keep moving on you’re doing great!

Yes of course, we all need an extra day or two's rest every now and then

Absolutely! According to IannodeTruffe’s post, you don’t start to lose your fitness levels until after a 2 week break, so go for it and enjoy! 😄🏃‍♀️🐢

Absolutely, you did it, doesn't matter how many rest days you took.
