So I had to go running in the searing heat this afternoon for the first time since I began running, being back at work has made running late in the evening a little tricky at the moment.
It wasn’t my plan to run in the heat, my plan was to actually get up early this morning and go, but guess who thought they’d hit the snooze button on their phone but instead actually hit the stop button 🤦🏻♂️
So because I hadn’t ran since Friday and won’t likely get a chance to go again til Saturday I didn’t feel I had much choice. Anyway it was ridiculously warm and I literally just got the other side of 30 mins before I had to pack it up for feeling sick.
So what lesson has Dion learned today? He’s learned that trying to hit snooze is best done when actually looking at his phone 😂

It was still hot here at 6pm when I went out. I was planning a longer run across the fields today but in the heat I opted for an easy 30 minute circuit in the shade of the woods that I was doing during the last couple of weeks of the program. Even then it felt quite hard going at times.
Awww so it’s at times like this you need to have the ability to believe me up scotty’ (a Star Trek phrase) ... and transport you to a cooler place to run!
We had dull and overcast weather with tiny spots of rain ...
There is nothing on earth that would make me run in the heat - I struggle even in the ‘heat’ of early morning! So well done for getting out there at all!
And maybe don’t even hit the snooze button, just get up!! 😜
