phew !!!! managed the final run of week 5 I am just so chuffed with myself . I didn't think i'd manage it but like most of the posts i've read about it i found it to be mind over matter and when i got past the ten minutes i knew i'd manage it ! i think i'm in love with michael johnson tho ! especially when he encouraged me! i'm 53 and have been sedentary for more years than i care to remember . half way through lockdown i just thought i'd have a go . i love the programme ! xxx

Well done, that's fantastic!

Feels like such a jump up doesn't it? But it's definitely all in the mind.

Ah... the wonderful, empowering, confidence building W5R3... got me a little emotional again just thinking about it there! Great job.

Slow and steady into week 3 and you got this.

That run should NOT be dreaded, congratulations on completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K, onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you have just ran 🏃🏾 😊

in hindsight i know i shouldn't have dreaded it but it seemed like a huge jump from 8 to 20 mins in reality it didn't seem that much more x thanks for the heads up on week 6 x think il take it slow and steady as usual xx

As far as run 3 of week 5, I did not sleep much the night before worrying about it, however, once I ran it I was very proud of myself, it is a big jump from running 8 minutes then 48 hours later going all out to run for 20 minutes, I had NEVER before ran as long as that, 10 minutes was the longest and that was around 20 years ago when I got my feet very wet walking through marshland as a shortcut to get home, to avoid getting a bad cold I just ran for around 10 minutes to get home quicker and change out of my wet shoes and socks.

Regarding run 1 of week 6, I was warned about that run and just took the run/walk slowly, I did not find run 1 of week 6 too bad.
