Week 5 Run 3!!!!

Hello fellow runners, like many of you on here that have already completed this run and said that this one was one of the hardest runs in the programme so far, well what a jump from 8 mins to 20! If you'd have all said to me in 5 weeks you'll be able to run 20 minutes I'd have laughed! I'm not going to lie it was hard work in places, Laura kept me going and I was glad after I'd finished but I think this was because I was so pleased and proud that I'd done it. I can't believe it. It's definitely mind over matter, i felt myself panting a bit and saying mantras to myself to get through it ha ha, but it worked, I did it! I am a runner!!!!!

Yes its quite a feeling of elation to do 20 minutes and well done to you for doing so. You'll never look back from here on.

Well done you, great effort. As already has been said don't look back now, because I am right on your tail heading to this run again, but with new found passion and momentum.

Congrats

Well done. I completed the same run yesterday and it is just the best feeling.

Keep going. Another big one coming up but I think the week 5 one is more physcological because of the jump from 8 to 20 mins.

Keep us posted

Jules

Well done that's fab! Watch out for week 6, a lot find it difficult after week 5 run 3 myself included. It doesn't look much more but I personally think I got a bit complacent thinking if I could do WK5 R3 week 6 would be easy.

It catches you off guard.

Thank you for the heads up, I was looking at week 6 week 1 and although there are block sections of running it doesn't seems to be as hard as i know ive run for 20 minutes now. I know I can do it it as i've run for longer periods if that makes sense? On saying that I know it will get harder when it goes up to half hour of running. I can do it!

That's what I mean, it looks easy after 20 mins of running without a break but it catches many off guard because a lot find it actually harder than WK5 R3 because they become overconfident after running 20 mins in WK5 R3 :)

Yay well done. It's such a massive jump isn't it.

I'm on week 6 this week and I will warn you it's not as easy as I thought, I presumed after doing 20 minutes intervals would be a walk in the park. How wrong I was! I'm still high from the 20 mins though and looking forward to moving on.
