Never thought I'd start this at 60 years of age but need to lose a couple of stones. Signed up for the NHS weight loss app and drifted into C25K in the second week. Not run as such since I was at school and even then never had a runners build. Could play rugby all day long but hated cross country and anything longer than a rugby pitch. Anyhow after a "practise" week 1 and then the proper week 1 and now week 2 under my belt have got into this and just wondering how far I can get lol Great program so far and a lovely community spirit on this forum to help people on their journey. Onward and upward......

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Enjoy your journey.

Welcome! I'm 65 and to my surprise have just completed week8 run3 so my 'last' week next week! It's been amazing, just do what you're told, take it slow and steady, and you too will be amazed! Happy running.

Yes. I reckon slow and steady is key here. Good luck for your final week. You've got this...

Consistency is the key. Keep going out and going steady to build stamina. You will do it!

Lovely to read your post and you’re so on the ball having your practise week too! 😀 In answer to your self posed question about how far you can get .... It’s fair to say that you may be on the cusp of a new addiction! 😁🏃‍♀️
