W6R3 - finally got my act together!

β€’27 Replies

After a delay in completing W1-W6R3 and a prolonged period of self pity and navel gazing I have run for 25mins and apparently I am now a runner.

Words cannot express how AMAZING I feel!!! πŸŒˆπŸ˜πŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ™ŒπŸΌ

Cannot wait for Saturday and my next run πŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈ

I had to do it twice before I completed it yesterday, I knew when I did the first attempt I was going to fail before I even started so set off yesterday with a much more positive mind and even sped up for the last minute, you can do anything with the right mindset, well done fellow runner 😁

Thank you and well done you too 😁

Fabulous! Well done you! Now really let yourself enjoy that feeling, bottle it up and bank it. This is a HUGE milestone and it is going to help you so much in getting to the end of this.

Just back from it - my advice would be to take it nice and slow. Good luck - you've been training for this and you will nail it!

β€’ in reply toKrazycatlady

Slow and steady and believe in yourself- you can do it! She who dares wins 😁

Don't overthink it, take it Slow, the 1st 10 mins are more of a mind battle, focus on your breathing and pace. By the time you reach halfway you should be able to focus on your music, or podcast or a daydream... whatever you prefer to zone into. YOU CAN DO THIS

Well done πŸ‘ it's such a great feeling isn't it (I ran mine yesterday too)

The first 10 mins I thought were the most difficult, keeping the right pace and sorting out my breathing and trying to shut out any negative thoughts. When Laura said I had reached halfway, then I started to believe I could do it and was going to finish.

I definitely prefer a longer run rather than a run, walk combo. Never thought I'd hear myself say that!

I too am looking forward to Sunday which is my week 7 R1😁

β€’ in reply toPeckhamgal

It is definitely a lot to do with mindset and I think I prefer the longer run too (can’t believe I said that either πŸ˜‚) Enjoy your run Sunday 😁
