Hot out there

Worked from home today, spent most the day catching up on typing.

Went for a run after and boy it's hot out there, a very slow 5k it was lovely to be out, the tide was out so while Willow had a little sit on the stones I ran to the waters edge and along the hard packed wet sand, let me tell you, what looks hard packed and flat is actually ridges and puddles, I loved it though

Then back across the golf course and round the lake to the car and home, we were red and hot and sweaty and our smiles were huge

My phone broke yesterday and I'm using an old one, I have no what's app and no garmin connect so feel a little cut off but tomorrow it will be fixed

Happy running all and remember to drink loads of water

The photo is beautiful and yes very hot today , even in Scotland 🤣.

You should have just ran into the sea with your running gear on. 🤣

That was a good run for you today Sola, being at the coast it would be a little cooler than inland, 28C in London, very nice photo, as for me I ran 6K around half past eight this morning when the temperature was around 15C, in the afternoon the temperature got to around 22C which is warm for Central Scotland, I was in the garden suntaning and happy that I had ran when it was much cooler.

A good run for you in the heat, I'm waiting until tomorrow when it's supposed to be cooler! Fab picture, I don't know how you resisted the sea 😀

Just go for it we will all be clapping find some trees the shade is blissful, I will be in the sea soon enough but it would be mean not to call the grands and meet then down there

Cold here in New Zealand, My car had a frost on it this morning which is the first one this year. I was supposed to run this morning but slept in which was actually quite nice :-)

When it's cold asleep in is great

Gosh you did well! I wilted in it yesterday. Sounds like a different type of run which is so nice. Huge smiles sounds great to me.

A lovely picture W&S. It looks so quiet and peaceful too. Well done for being out; it looks like we will have a few cooler days now.

Thank you Dexy5, it’s cooler today, we are lucky to be away from the town so our part of the beach is quieter.

I used to live in Hove and I thought you might live somewhere on the east of Brighton?

SueAppleRun profile image
SueAppleRunGraduate in reply toDexy5

No we are between Hove and Worthing just 3 miles east of Worthing so my idea was to jog along the sand to Worthing but it was all ridges and puddles and sinky bits so i just ran around a bit took a few pictures and went back to our favourite park

I don’t blame you. There have been many posts by people lured by the romance of running along the beach to only end up on the IC. I think it’s quite had work.
