The last time I ran was 8 days ago and I really over did it - not with the running but I went for a bike ride and then to stretch off I did some yoga and then did my yoga class on line that night. Consequently I've been feeling pretty knackered since then and not sleeping at all well because of the heat. I've slept ok for the last two nights so woke up and decided to run a route. I wasn't going for a distance or a time just to get out there. I set off at 8.45. I thought it was cool but by the time I got back I realised I should've gone when I got up - an hour earlier. We're just not used to this heat up here. Hey ho! I was hot, it was pretty and lesson learnt.

IT'S HOT OUT THERE....
Good run for you today in the heat 59er, for the last few days the North of Scotland has been the hottest place in the UK, 27C, however, over the next few days its to get much colder, even some snow on high ground, so the cooler weather will be better for running.
Haha perhaps I should've waited a couple more days so that I didn't come back quite so sweaty! I'll need to get my long troos out again now!
Just looked you up - I am impressed with your distances - I don't know how you do it. I think I'll go back to timing myself and try and run an extra minute each week. But first I'll need to get myself a decent watch - just waiting to be able to go and shop for one.
It's crazy the weather we've had recently. But look at that photo, what a beautiful place you have to run ππ
Not crazy - fantastic! I was saying how hot it was today - kind of moaning but I really shouldn't. I've got sooo much done in the garden these past few weeks and really enjoyed it. Yes, I've got a great place to run - I am very lucky! Looks like it's about to change now! Hope we've still got a bit more sunshine to come. π€
