Wk2 R4 completed!

I mentioned in a previous post that I found repeating the runs 4 times really does help me feel ready to go on to the next level, and today that was more true than ever (still leaving rest days for all those that keep commenting on my posts about their importance).

I just got back from my wk2r4 and I did it really well this time, no stops, no slowing down, not even really feeling the need to slow down or stop at the end so feeling positive about moving on to w3. Definitely taking this at your own pace, moving on when you feel ready and listening to your body when it wants to push harder or pull back is important in this. Everyone is individual.

Throughout these weeks I had felt my right calf hurt more than my left, this seems to have ironed out with some good stretching and massaging with a tennis ball.

Proud that I have kept going, excited to get to the end of the programme and be able to get further each time I run. Here's to week 3/9

I never thought I could do any running - too old and too fat - but I am on week 8 and got there by just doing all the runs twice before I moved on . That really worked for me . I am sure most people wouldn’t need to but I just think this has let me reach running for 28 minutes which I can’t quite believe!

Amazing work, yeah I think it's important to just do what feels best for you! It doesn't matter what most people would do, because most people aren't you... you've got your own history and goals in mind. Hope to reach 28mins too!
