Just completed R2 š. The first 8 minute run was fine, the last 2 minutes of the last run tested me, my legs felt very heavy and I slowed to a snails pace but I kept going and completed it. Not sure how run 3 will go, 20 minutes straight, but I will give it my best shot. Any tips for run 3?

Wk5R2 complete :) Tips for R3?
Congratulations on getting to run 2 of week 5, as for the next run, the program has prepared you for it, just take run 3 of week 5 slow and steady, once you have completed it you will be very proud of yourself, good luck.
Literally just walked in the door from run 3. I deliberately paced myself quite slow and when I got to the end I had a little extra to push myself in the last couple of minutes. Itās a great feeling and despite my concerns and the state of me in week 1 it all goes to prove this program works! Youāll nail it no probs!
Well done. I have repeated Wk5 R1 twice because I just donāt feel ready to run 8 minutes it feels like a leap too far for me. Itās good to know you did it
You know that Week 4 was the hard bit? ItĀ“s not obvious but if you look at the numbers you see that the *total* running per run in Week 4 is 16 minutes ... thatĀ“s a 75% increase on Week 3 runs (9 mins each) . ThatĀ“s the biggest increase in the whole program.
Also, your fitness builds with each & every run you do.... itĀ“s how a program like this works. So Week 1 prepares for W2. W1+W2 prepare you for W3. And so on.
So for W5R1 your body is ready... but your mind is telling you otherwise. Trust me, itĀ“s true.
Trust in the program and get out there - youĀ“ll be pleasantly surprised. Just go at a nice and easy pace and youĀ“ll be absolutely fine.
Do it!

Well done.
The next run is just another that the plan has prepared you for.

You can do this.
I completed Wk 5 run3 today....slow & steady wins the race....pardon the pun! It is such a great feeling at the end....I have been walking around with a smile on my face for the rest of the day š....good luck šš»
Any tips?
Yes. Have belief. ItĀ“s a mental test not a physical one. Your body has been prepared for it with 13 preceding runs - thatĀ“s 157 minutes of running - over 2.5 hours! More than enough to prepare you for a 20 minute jog. Just take it nice and easy ... go slower than you done so far... In fact, get your pace right and you might finish feeling like you could carry on. Trust me, itĀ“s possible.
Do it!
