C25k week 7 present to myself

Have been running for 6/7 weeks now. And at the start of week 7 it became apparent my 15 year old trainers cannot cut it on the longer runs (knee pains - foot pains etc) so I have rested a few days to let myself heal, and splashed out on a new pair of proper running trainers. Ideally I would have liked to get a gait check and tried some on in a store - but needs must! I am determined to get to the end of the course and be able to run for 30 mins (however far that may be!)

My dog is now looking at me like I am a disturbed person, while I run up and down my living room “trying them out” before deciding whether to keep them. A little more expensive than I would normally pay - but I consider this an investment in my health! (And It’s not like I will be buying any other clothes or having a holiday this year)

My trainers are ancient, cheap and so comfy - I am praying they keep going to the end of week 9 as I’m scared of getting new ones in case they hurt my feet!
