Morning all. I’ve just completed my very first run of week one and want to check, do runs 2 and 3 of week one repeat what I’ve just done? At end of my run the voice said I need to repeat three more times this week so now I’m confused and can’t find any further info to make it clear.

Thanks

Hi GillyHep,

Well done on getting started. Yes the runs do sometimes repeat. Just go onto the next podcast/run on the app and it will be the right one.

Happy running!

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Each week consists of three runs and in many weeks they are three of the same.

Enjoy your journey.

I hope so but did feel very bulky and ungainly this morning. Hoping it will improve. In the plus side feels great to have started!

Hi, well done you for getting started - it's taken me years to actually make a start and I am so glad I did. I've just finished Week 4 today. If you take it slow and steady you will get there. You do Run 1 three times then go on to Week 2 ( run three times) and so on. As an over 60 year old, once I got past Week 2 I found that my recovery was better after two days of rest rather than just one day rest between run days. If you move on to the next week and find it a bit too hard, just drop back to the previous week's run. It doesn't matter how long you take!
