Just finished the first run of week 2 and I’m feeling so chuffed with myself! I know it’s not much, just the beginning really, but It’s my 67th birthday soon and this is the first time I’ve really had a go at running anywhere. I’m working on a run by run basis.... ‘ok, I may never do this again, but at least I’ve done this one’ sort of thing! Mostly running around my garden as I’m still somewhat self conscious about anyone seeing me 😏

Well done for starting Week 2! The plan is amazing & you will notice improvement, week on week! You’ll prob have some runs that are tougher than others, but the highs far outweigh the lows! There is some fantastic advice & support, on here! Good luck!

What do you mean "It's not much"??? Its amazing - the first few runs are so hard and you're now well on your way! Lots of folk on here are in the older age group so don't let the age gremlins get to you - I'm 61 and enjoying this running lark. I'm sure you'll do fine too - its just having the motivation and determination to keep going. And anyone seeing you is just going to think you are fantastic for getting out there and having a go! (If they don't, they are idiots and not worth bothering about...)

Remember to keep it really slow and keep posting your runs so we can cheer you on!
