In the middle of W4 as a previously adamant non-runner. After 3 weeks felt I was getting slimmer but at the start of W4 looked my usual shape - checked and I seem to have gained a few lb. Is this normal? Finding W4 hard and will prob extend it before going to to W5

Gaining weight?
It may happen... as it is not a weight loss programme, I know my weight fluctuated at the start. But it does help with fitness, and feeling firmer and tauter... leaner and keener
If you are struggling a tad, then slow down, and if you still feel it is tricky, then slow down more... and there is always slower:).Try to relax and simply let the legs take you
Throw your scales away and use a tape measure! You will definitely find your body toning up, but muscle is denser than fat so you might not notice the difference on the scales.
Are you keeping well hydrated? It could be your body is storing water if you are like me and struggle to drink enough water.
Muscles could be firming up too which weigh more.
Are you on a diet or eating normally?

Hi there, Exactly the same thing is happening to me at the minute. This time last year I started c25k and the weight just dropped off. This time around I’ve made it to week 6 and if anything I’ve gained a lb. It could be something to do with the lockdown and not being at work and hand on my heart I may be eating more as I’m at home and in a different routine - but I do feel fitter and more energised after. And like other people here say - perhaps it’s less what the scales are saying and more how you look and feel 🙂
Thanks and yes I'm sure you are right. It's easier to eat more when at home all day, even though I try not to
I have just completed week 5 (had to repeat R3 after allowing myself a two minute walk halfway through the first attempt) and find I have gained 0.7kg over the week. Will have to blame the gorgeous risottos, cakes etc I am being fed during the lockdown - foods we normally only have very rarely.
