Well that was absolute hell. I realised if I waited to see if the rain stopped, I would talk myself out of it and tomorrow’s forecast isn’t any better so I went for it
Fortunately there was no wind, but my glasses steamed up, rain was dripping off my nose, and my wet fringe was in my eyes (like many of us I need my haircut) . But I managed it, even the hill at the end! I must be gunning faster than I walk as I thought the shorter run would finish before the hill. On the plus side, I didn’t have to dodge cyclists or “proper” runners overtaking me who don’t seem to understand social distancing as no one else was about. I feel great now though and almost looking forward to Saturday. Need to work out wet weather clothing though. I’ve just been running in old joggers and an anorak which were soaked. Might need to try and buy something online. Any recommendations? Don’t want to spend a fortune
