I hear/see so many fellow runners do run in the rain and I am sure it is so much fun! I have never done it so far, not that I don't like to run in the rain, I just don't like the 'cold rain' and don't like to get wet and have a head cold as head colds stay with me for months and never go away
I would like any suggestion/idea to over come my head getting wet. Does anyone know from where to get a water proof running cap??
My other obstacle is, I wear glasses, and find it hard to run without them as I have two different visions in my two very different eyes! Are there any glass wearers running in the rain? How do you manage to run without water coming onto your glasses?
Please help! It has been either raining or drizzling over last few days when I think of running and I really do not want to stop my running. I have managed to squeeze myself into the non-rain time just for 30-40 minutes to quickly run the 5K+ so far, but want to run leisurely and not worry too much of the rain. Hubby suggested getting a membership at the local gym until winter is over but I do prefer running outside than inside with proper winter running clothing.
Many thanks and any reply is greatly appreciated!!

I, too, wear glasses and find they stay pretty dry under the peak of my Ron Hill running cap. This is not waterproof (a waterproof hat would be too hot) but although it gets wet I don't feel my hair getting wet. I've only noticed the rain running through it once, and that was when running in heavy rain for an hour.
Agree with Swanscot - I have a cheap Asics cap which does the job and easy to stick into the washing machine too! I know what you mean about running in the rain but once you get going you don't notice it too much and the warm shower at the end feels even better!
Many thanks ADR2009, I am yet to buy a proper Cap, I have one that I use when I run in the night, just to keep my hair out of my eyes..but need a better one.
My daughter runs in her glasses (I take mine off once I have the phone set for runkeeper & whatever I am listening to; she finds the cap keeps the rain off her glasses too (& did when we ran in the rain tonight before dinner, was lovely splashing about but a few too many big slugs were a bit slippery!)
I have tried a cap to keep the sun out of my eyes but my head got too hot! We bought cheap Karrimor caps from Sports Direct; about £5 I think.
