Running in the rain

I am a weather wimp. There, I've said it and faced it! Not keen on too hot when running and rain is off putting. But I've read the posts here about running in the rain so this morning it was drizzling but I really needed a run. So dug out a lightweight waterproof hooded jacket and set off. 10 minutes later drizzle turned to rain but I kept going and completed my 40 mins run and I loved it! Now converted to wet weather running at least. So much cooler... and isn't rain good for the complexion or something....

I enjoyed running in the rain much more once I stopped trying to dress for it!

Very well done you... and yes, rain is supposed to be good for our complexion!

My Nan used to have a rain butt... and she used the rain water to rinse our hair, and for us to wash our faces in, when we were growing up... :)

It is refreshing and can be very welcome after a long run... :) Go you :)

That is a must ! I have very shiny hair... :) Rain does not help us to run faster.. except, maybe when we are trying to dodge the raindrops ! :)

I did run a bit further by running around the largest puddles

Go you!

I like running in the rain, as long as I have dry socks to put on afterwards I am just dandy. Only problem is my glasses!

I have got quite soggy trainers. Took the liners out and have them stuffed with newspapers to dry them out hopefully before Saturdays parkrun

You would have thought someone would have come up with some cool tech to dry trainers out by now, but I still find stuffing them with newspaper works best.

I still haven't had to go out in the rain. I hope my first experience will be as positive as yours!
