At the risk of repeating myself .... I can't believe I've done two lots of 8 minutes running. I simply can't believe it! I know what's coming on the next run. I'm definitely going with the programme and if I can't do it I shall use it as a practice. I love this whole thing. Thanks for your support everyone.

I love the way you are so reassuring and positive. I have already changed my attitude following your advice to me at the end of wk2. May I ask how long you've been running and do you do long distances than 5k?

Positivity is the only way I could get through life.

I started C25k seven years ago at the age of 57, in a effort to stave off what seemed like an inevitable decline in my stamina. by 60 I was fitter and happier than at any other time in my life.

C25k is a life changer.

At the moment I am redoing W7 of the plan after a break of very nearly a year after a knee injury exacerbated by cancer treatment and am very pleased to say I am getting stronger with each run and the knee is behaving itself.

My weekly routine used to be two 5ks and a 10-16k run, with my longest ever runs being about 18k.

If I can get back to an occasional 10k I will be delighted, but will be happy to be able to run for 5k three times per week.

Stick with it......the rewards just keep coming.

Morning. Thank you for your reply. I've started at your age now so a bit behind chronologically. However, I am starting to feel better physically and the knock on effect seems to be that I am more careful about what I eat as I'm working on the assumption that a lighter body makes running a bit easier (but what do I know!). I'd love to get to the stage where I'm running 3 or 4 times a week and really loving the positive feelings that everyone says come with time and experience . Thanks again and best wishes for your knee and Wk 8 and 9.

That thought did occur to me, but I've decided to give run 3 a go. You never know miracles do happen!!

I did run 3! I’m still alive and it wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be. Miracles do happen 😀

That is absolutely fantastic. Well done!! I am definitely going to try it myself. How was it? Any bits when you thought you may not get through? I'm really pleased for you.

Feeling really pleased with myself as I never thought I’d do it. Minute 8 and the minute 19 were hard but you get told at intervals how many you’ve done and when I had 2 minutes to go I had to go uphill 😞 I could have quit but didn’t.

Adjust your speed if you feel like it’s tiring which I did and also when I hit the hill.

When are you doing yours? Let me know how you get on 😃

Well done! I felt exactly the same last week. Going with the programme has really worked for me, just believing there is science behind it and someone somewhere thinks I can do this! Good luck with the next one - just believe you can do it, and do it!

Thank you so much. I just need to trust the programme, myself and the experience of others like you. Thanks.
