I was apprehensive of this morning's run moving into week 2. 48 and overweight doesn't help. But I did it and I am really surprised. It was ok, I didn't stop and pushed through. Thank you for this app this is the most exercise I have had in years, the first week hurt alot, but onwards to a new me.

I am 53 and unfit and a couple of stone overweight. just finished wk3. It’s amazing what you can do if you put your mind to it. It doesn’t matter how slow you go. I think I was walking faster than I was running. It’s that you have done it that matters. Best of luck I know you have got this. The first step was joining the program and you did that. You go for it.

Are you finding that this is helping you lose weight? Or tone up?

To be honest I’ve not been near the scales as been baking and eating to much anyway with lockdown.

The highest of gives my friend! Believe me, it does get easier and you will be so proud at what you are able to achieve!

Keep going

Well done you! I’ve just completed run 3 of week 1 so I have week 2 to start on Friday. Prior to this I hadn’t run for YEARS - it’s tough but so exhilarating!! Keep going, this app is so motivating. You’re not alone 😄

I completed run 3 of week 1 yesterday too and week 2 is looking a little bit daunting. We will get there

Well done, keep it up. I've just done my second run of week 2, and felt it ok. I'm 57 and haven't run since I was 17, so if I can nail this I'm sure you can too.

Good luck

Rinky I’m right there with ya. I’m 48 and overweight too. According to the statistics I should be 8 foot 3 for my weight (maybe a little shorter) 😀. I started last year at about 18.5 stone. It was hard going but I was determined to get my trophy at the end. I’ve never really liked running but on Monday I did my first 10K and now I feel awesome that I’ve achieved it. You can do this. Most of the fight is in your mind. Keep positive,be determined and you will get there 👌

Thanks pal, that's gives me hope, not sure on how heavy I am, the scales only go up to 19 stone. I guess 20 ish. Thanks for taking the time to message. It's amazing that you have done 10k, that's my aim. Thanks to everyone else, it helps knowing that I am not alone on the journey.

No problem. All I will say is and I can as I’ve been in the same place you are in. Just take it slowly. Don’t push too hard too fast. Let your body adjust to what you’re asking of it. Take the rest days in between it helps your body repair itself. I only ran Monday, Wednesday and Fridays whilst doing c25k. I have since upped it to include Sunday but that’s my choice. Good luck to you. I’m going to follow you to see your progress 😁
