Well done on getting out there so late in the day. I found that the runs got easier the more I repeated them so hopefully you will find W2R2 more enjoyable
Im hoping so motivation seems to be getting there. Hopefully the same motivation will help giving up the smokes as well n eating better. Sense of humour still active i must look a right plonker jogging so slowly some people can walk faster!!!!
I get over taken by dog walkers and one day a paramedic asked if I was ok but I don't care I just keep plodding on I am running and I have stopped smoking and I feel great
I smoked my last one on the 1st Sept so I have been free of them for just over 3 weeks. I am using the niquitin lozenges to help with the cravings but going for a run has helped the most with breaking the routine of smoking and giving me the 'feel great' feeling
I saved up the money each week for what I would have spent on smoking and have bought running shoes and headphones instead.
It will get better & feel better. You probably wanted to get it over and done with, at the end of a bad day, and maybe took it too fast. Try slowing it down and consciously relaxing arms and shoulders...play music that relaxes you & your run days will be your best days!
Thankyou for reply ive read lots of posts that said to slow down. Any slower and id be walking fast!!! The music is helping but the lady mentioned on this run about breathing every four steps that started to confuse me so just carried on. Ill see how i feel on thursday run 2
I did Park Run on Saturday and a speed walker overtook me and finished before me despite me running all the way! I think running slowly is fine and who cares if walkers overtake you? As for the breathing thing on the app, well I tried that for about 2 minutes and gave up (not breathing totally, just the way they suggested!) - couldn't get to grips with it.
Nice one finding the motivation to get out and run at 9pm! Stick with it and it will get better. I get such a kick out of having a new ability, and you’ll feel that as you progress.
