Hi my name is clive and I have completed my first run. I feel like I have been hit by a bus. But I will keep going. And good luck to anyone who see this.

Welcome to the club Clive! I'm about to finish W2 tomorrow and continue to feel hit by a bus, but it doesn't beat the feeling of how proud I am when I complete each day. Keep it up!

I found it hard to begin my journey but once I started I will keep going.

Congratulations Clive on starting C25K with run 1 of week 1 and welcome to the forum, hit by a bus, is that the feeling you had at the end of your first session 😂, I am sure run two won't be so hard, take all the runs slowly, that way you will feel like being on a bus, not hit by one, onwards and upwards to run 2 of week 1.

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Enjoy your journey.

It's a big achievement getting out there for your first run, and even for starting the programme - keep remembering that. I've just started W3 and my hardest run to date was actually my first ever run! Hopefully the next one won't be as tough but don't worry if it is - it's all progress and you're going to smash it !😄😄

I did my second run on week 1, and was very surprised I ran the 8 minutes, I am sure you will find the second one is a surprise too.

Welcome! I found week 2 - which I've just started - easier than week 1 and plan on repeating runs as needed.

Good luck! And enjoy....

That was the most difficult run ,Clive. And you did it! You will soon be hitting that bus with a slap.. take it as slowly as you want, and do a few repeats too if you like. You are OFF THE COUCH now!
