Run 2 of week 1 just completed! The last two one minute runs were the hardest and I’m now sat at home exhausted. It did feel good on the walk home to have achieved another small step on the plan.
I’ve previously tried this program and struggled with knee pain. I’ve swapped the pavement for a local golf course to see if the softer surface is easier on my knees as I would be gutted to have to stop again.
It would mean the world to me to enter and complete a 5k run or even a park run so bring on Sunday for run 3!

Well done I am also trying for either a 5k or park run 🏃♀️. I have no desire to run half marathons or even a whole one!!
Love this. Small steps will lead to big things and you will get to that 5k distance. There are some knee strengthening exercises on this forum (or just Google NHS knee exercises) these are helping me too at the moment. The feelings after each run push you on to the next so keep going. This plan works!
