I found that quite difficult, half way through for the first time I thought 'i don't want to be doing this' - I kept going because I knew I would be angry with myself if I gave up but just didn't have the same motivation tonight 😭 I am you going to repeat week 1 to make sure I can comfortably run every 60 seconds before I move on, hopefully two days off should refresh me 😊
Week 1 Run 3 : I found that quite difficult... - Couch to 5K
Week 1 Run 3
You know what? You came here full of anxiety and fears... and now you’ve been out there and completed 3 workouts. I dunno about you lacking motivation, but your determination and efforts this week are inspiring me for my next run. You should be really proud of what you’ve done out there... and this last time you got a tough run... tough things stop people... but not you, you got the job done... you were tougher than the run. I’m starting to see some awesome there... take a good look and you will too. Tough runs need mental strength and self coaching... you had it and did it... huge victory if you ask me.
You still went and did it - pretty awesome! Take your time, and see how you feel next time. The endorphins might make you feel better. You are doing it for a reason, remember your own personal motivation. 👍
You go Girl. You can do this. See how you feel after one day, don’t put limits on yourself, you have come so far now. 😊😊 Most people don’t even do that you are a winner everyday🏅🏅🏅
Just relax... slow and steady and enjoy Well done you for beginning this at what is a very stressful time for all of us x
That was a fantastic achievement - well done for drawing on that grit and determination! If I were you I would carry on to week 2. You finished week 1 and that ladt run might just have been a stinker. There are some way harder than others for no reason I've been able to work out. But whatever you decide will be the best for you. Keep on posting!!
Well done for persevering. Running is like that - sometimes you really enjoy it and other times you wonder what and why the hell you're doing it. The positive feeling that you get from it though far outweighs those times when it doesn't quite hit the spot. It's good that you've decided to redo week 1. By the time you've done that you will feel a lot more comfortable with the whole process and ready to take on the next part of the challenge. Slow and steady.....
If you have managed all three runs, you should be ready to start week 2. But if repeating the week, or just one run, will give you the confidence to carry on, then that's got to be good. Take your time, this is a plan for you to use, follow, tweak, it's up to you. Somebody (can't remember who) stayed on week one for ages before moving on. Other people repeat every single week. It's all good.
