Week 1 run 3 completed

So today I completed week 1 run 3. Now to me it seemed like the runs were getting slightly harder each time, and I live in a very hilly area so there isn't much flat ground to run on. I've been mapping all my runs with the map my run app and my GPS, and after today's run I logged into Map My Run to see my data. I was so pleased when I saw that my average speed had gone from 18 minute miles to 14 minute miles. My distance had also increased from the first run, so I guess that although I thought the runs were getting harder I was actually going faster and further than before. Hooray!

It's definitely motivated me, bring on week 2!

That increase in speed is really something at this stage. Keep it up but don't get fixated about pace - it might drop back a bit as the runs get longer. But don't get discouraged either. The speed will pick up again as your stamina and muscle strength improve. At least that's what it says on the box (:->)

Thanks, I'm trying to just go with the flow and not worry too much, it's the first time in my life I've actually enjoyed running! :)

Well done on week 1. Keep at it the mental buzz gets better and better every week (the runs get harder too just take your time)

Well done, I enjoy analysing how my run was its a great motivator for me to think of on my next outing.

All the best for W2
