Yesterday was a tough run, it felt much much harder than WK5 R3 ... weird. I couldn’t get into it at all, felt so tired, lacked energy, I didn’t hear any of my music and only remember shouting ‘bunny rabbit’ when one ran across my path (how old am I?). The rest of it was a just a blur and not a happy one 🙁
This morning I have reflected on where I started. Barely able to get through week 1, never quite believing I could actually make it through this programme and now more than halfway to graduating. So, onwards to Run 2 and hopefully all will fall back into place🤞
I think quite a few people have a dip after W5R3, which is such a high! Essentially though, you’ve cracked it by running 20 mins. Keep going - on W6R3 there’s a particularly encouraging message from your coach...
So many of us found this return to intervals hard, after the joy of week 5 run 3! Several years post - Couch to 5k, I still remember this as the run I hated most!! Stay positive, it will get easier again - and the best thing is you did it anyway; these are the runs that make us mentally strong! 💪🙂
Congratulations on completing your longest workout to date.
You've done well! The first two runs of week 6 are well known for catching people out, but you kept going and you now have this run under your belt! One last interval run and then you will soon be back to the longer runs again.
