Week 6, Run 1

As anticipated, the return to intervals after finishing the 20 minute run at the end of week 5 was a little jarring but I made it through them all (albeit slowly). It felt pretty blustery out there today which always makes it harder, especially when you end up running into the wind. Thought I’d share a photo of the reservoir I often run past as it was looking pretty despite the greyness.

Still on track to graduate for the second time just before Christmas! Can’t believe it’s December already… Will probably check in when I get back to the longer runs. Until then, happy running all.

Ah yes, running into the wind. I have to laugh at how much it can slow me down.

Only a couple more intervals LauraRuns, then it's adding a few minutes time. Keep at it. My week 8 r3 was tough but I ran for 29 mins, my longest yet.

The wind really does have a lot to answer for!

Thanks moopo! Well done on getting W8R3 done despite it being tough - you’ll be graduating before you know it 👏🏼

Huge well done Laura - this (W6) is a weird week but looks like you had a great run and lovely photo too. The wind was slowing me down today too! I'm always head down and power into the wind! I don't know why I put my head down - I'm sure it makes no difference but I'm convinced I'm more aerodynamic.

Good luck with the rest of week 6 and keep us posted with how you're getting on

Thanks StoneDragon! Glad to hear it wasn’t just me battling the wind and finding it a little tricky out there, you sound like you become an aerodynamic gazelle though 🦌
