Hi violets, first of all congrats on your graduation! First thing to do is to consolidate at 5k, before you try to double the distance. Parkrun is a great way to do it, if you haven't been already I recommend it. I've noticed there's now a consolidation club on here for 5k graduates, that might be useful for you, I haven't looked. I don't use apps when I run, but most of my running buddies who do, like the Nike run club.

Not as such. There’s Ju-Ju-‘s magic plan over on our sister forum healthunlocked.com/bridgeto10k

If you added that to Nike Run Club you could do a lot of the runs as “guided runs” with full coaching... a lot more talking than C25K... by selecting distance or timed runs of the right length.

There are couch to 10k and 5k to 10k apps around... I’m yet to look at one that I like!

I printed out JuJu's magic plan and stuck it on my fridge. It works really well for increasing the distances.

What a fab idea that will work. I would just need a watch for timing 😁

Ah, that's a whole new can of worms! 😁 (I can recommend Garmin forerunner)

There is a Bridge to 10k App on the iPhone ( not sure about other phones) and I used this the second time I worked to 10k. It goes back to intervals which seemed odd but it’s timed and you get talked through and encouraged like the C25k Journey. It’s made by Bluefin software and free to download. The music is quite upbeat too. When I ran my HM length I played several of their Weeks runs as I ran. It’s a Shades of green logo with a stylised runner in it and a big 10k.

Bridge to 10k is on here somewhere, it might be what you are looking for.
