Cold rain, about 4 degrees. The second 28 minute run, with the toxic 15s. Its the breathing that is hard, although it didn't get worse. I just let my lungs get on with it and found a rhythm, but it was not an easy one. I am quite proud that at the finish I had completed about 6 and 3/4 laps of the stadium and wanted to do seven, so I carried on and did that, bringing it to about 29 minutes. Again, recovery was fairly quick but I felt I had given everything I had and certainly could not speed up at all towards the end. I may even have started off too quickly, but we are not talking fast here, not at all. If my measuring is accurate, then thats 4.4 km. I hope it gets at least a bit easier. I may have to bring back the inhaler, which I haven't been using, and I would guess that this is exercise induced asthma.
However..... I still did it and survived.

Well done! But I would suggest slowing down rather than bringing back the inhaler. It’s not a race, speed is not the goal despite the misleading C25K title of this plan. The goal is to run continuously for 30mins reasonably comfortably. Pace, speed, distance, which is basically all the same thing, can be worked on thereafter👍😁
I cant go much slower I am no longer ashamed of going slow, but I think the asthma is going to happen anyway, its just the way my lungs are now, they have to work very hard. I will just have to put up with it - and actually, I have continued and not wimped out yet. Trying various things, coffee before running, smaller breakfast, seeing what has the effect. I would rather not have the inhaler, but will always carry it. I don't know what's normal for anyone else, you see - we never do, do we. Cold stretching before hand is definitely not good, but the brisk walk IS
Thank you :)I am no longer ashamed of going slow, but I think the asthma is going to happen anyway, its just the way my lungs are now, they have to work very hard. I will just have to put up with it - and actually, I have continued and not wimped out yet. I discovered a slightly more varied footpath right around my stadium, with some trees and slight inclines. I measured it with my bike computer, which might not be 100% accurate, and it is exactly 1.1 km to go round once. I hope tomorrow to try this out!
Oh gosh yes! That first part is a real test of mental attitude. "I cant do this. This is stupid and hopeless. Am I crazy?" But it does seem to get a little bit better.
I love running in the cold, ( not looking forward to summer running 🥵). But I don't have asthma. Have you tried using a buff over your mouth and nose when it's really chilly? I believe this can help as it provides a little warming barrier between the very cold air and your airways .
