............. completed in the company of Laura and Julie. What a pair they are. I did not have my usual pre-run preparation last night, ie going out for a meal, instead I had some pasta at home. Carb loading runners call it thought I think it is only necessary if you are planning on running a marathon. Replete after my meal I retreated to the sofa (see how I didn't use the C word there) and promptly fell asleep. When I did wake up and go to bed I couldn't get off to sleep for what seemed like hours. Needless to say I was awakened by the alarm which was about 45 minutes later than I have been wakening up.
I decided that there was still time for a run before I headed off to work. I ran for the whole of the alloted time. My pace was a little faster than Monday so that marks another bit of progress.
I have an old demon returning. I feel I want to challenge myself to go faster. Up until this point I have been content to run well within myself which I think is the right way to go. Hopefully I will have talked some sense into myself by the time it comes to run on Friday.
