Yesterday I finally completed week 5 hurrah ... it has taken me 8 weeks; I’ve been seeing a PT twice a week and had to space my running effort in order to survive 😅 During yesterday’s run I reflected on where I’ve come from ... at 57, fat and unfit, exercise hater, self limiter, to someone who now believes it’s possible to do this. I love how things have changed for me and to me 💪 My husband and son are beyond proud of me which makes me happy. So onto the remaining weeks and I need to move myself from the private road (where no one sees me) to a public road which still feels very challenging and maintain the momentum. Of course I still don’t regard myself as a runner more a slow jogger but I’m happy with that for now.

Well Done!!! I'm a jogger too! 🙂
Well done! You are a star🌟 !
You are doing brilliantly and your attitude is great. Reaching the end of week 5 is a real milestone. You now have one continuous run under your belt. Two more interval runs at the beginning of week 6, then you are into the steadily increasing longer runs. Those week 6 interval runs have a reputation on here for catching people out, but I think you are fine if you are prepared for them. Good luck and keep posting your progress!
