Thank you for being so supportive

Thank you all for your lovely supportive replies to my last post. I’ve had a tough week, I ended up back at the hospital on Monday as the gp was unhappy with there being little change. This time I was diagnosed with an upper respiratory tract infection and a secondary chest infection which together with being asthmatic exasperated my breathing and some of the fibromyalgia symptoms. I am now on antibiotics and a higher and longer dose of steroids.

This followed by a neurophysiology appointment and some delightful 😳 tests, nce followed by emg, I have now been told on a unrelated note that I have sensory neuropathy and that they are stumped as it’s usually a hand in hand condition with diabetes which I do not have. This now means they think I have suffered a neck injury at some point that has caused the damage, or it’s something hereditary, and potentially in either case may or may not be degenerative. None of which they can be sure of without more tests to see what’s what. So I guess On the plus side I may not have fibromyalgia, or it could be an addition to it or a symptom of it. But that’s anyone’s guess.

So all in all, and still wheezing and having the shakes at times, I don’t think my running is going to be happening anytime too soon.

But on the plus side, quite happy to be able to stay in during all these storms.

Stay safe all. Lots of love 💓

Blimey! Look after yourself, running will wait. Hopefully they’ll get to the bottom of it all soon and the steroids etc. will do their job. You could be back before you know it 🤞

Keep us informed and good luck 🍀🌶x

So sorry to read of the issues you are having. It must be so hard when symptoms do not point to a clear diagnosis? I hope that the antibiotics and steroids help and that things settle for you soon. Take care of yourself - the running will wait for now.🙂
